OGUN CONGRATULATES OBASEKI ON APPEAL COURT VICTORY
The member representing Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency of Edo State in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. ( Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun has reacted to the verdict of the Court of Appeal which upheld the ruling of the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
In his reaction to the judgement which is coming barely two months after the Election Petition Tribunal struck out the petitions filed by the ADP and others challenging the outcome of the September 19, 2020 Governorship Election , the Lawmaker described the verdict of the Court of Appeal as a victory for democracy, the rule of law and Edo People while stressing that the judiciary has once again reaffirmed its impartiality and neutrality.
Going further, Rt Hon. Ogun congratulated the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Mr Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Rt Hon. Comrade Phillip Shaibu on the well deserved victory while reiterating that no amount of frivolous litigations can upturn the mandate freely given to them by the good people of Edo State on 19th September, 2020. He also congratulated the leaders and members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) across the 192 wards of Edo State for their steadfastness and relentless support for party.
Hon. Ogun enjoined all Edolites to join hands with the governor to move the state forward.
