OSAZUA IVBAZE, TRIBUTES TO T B JOSHUA
Dear Man of God
To some , who may read this post, it is the strangest thing they have yet seen for the living to address a letter to a man that is dead.
But for me , there is nothing strange— it is a measure of the high regard I had for you when you walked the earth- winning souls for Christ.
I am not aware of another Pastor in Nigeria, that gave much to the poor as you did. You gave lavishly of your time, concerns, material things and money to the needy.
Though you were wealthy and a man of immense accomplishments, you were unaffected, humble and unassuming.
You walked your talks. From a very humble and near poverty ravaged beginning, you rose to become a highly respected Christian personality and voice in global space.
I am not a member of your Church. As a Christian who is not driven by denominational fever, I fell in love with your Emmanuel TV which made me to really understand you. Never for once did you allow negative opinions about your ministry divert you, even an inch from the work you were called to do.
You were all over the World— Asia , Europe, Middle East. World leaders regularly came to your church to seek the face of God.
I was excited when you stormed Nazareth, the small community in Israel from which Christ hailed. You went there to bring many, who had yet to believe that their true Messiah had come, to Christ. It was a program I watched live on Emmanuel TV.
I am not endowed with the skills of choosing and deploying the appropriate words that would adequately express what you represented for humanity.I wish I could.
I watched you give out big envelopes containing huge sums of money to widows; to Libya returnees and generally to the need.
While your colleagues flaunted their private jets, you were giving; while they established schools which 98 % of their members can’t afford fees, you were giving; while they flaunted opulence, you were giving.
Others may have seen you differently. How is that my business!! They are free to give you whatever name it pleases them. I observed you. I saw your work . I saw your commitment to the poor that your colleagues despise.
Now that you are on the other side, only God , who discerns our hearts can make pronouncement on which side of His presence you are entitled to sit .
And finally, because your focus was on heaven, you were not afraid of death. On several occasions, you admonished us never to be afraid to die because Jesus conquered death on Calvary’s ☦️ Cross.
May your soul Rest In Peace even as we await ours , knowing not when it will come— but come it must surely come .
We have no choice
