RT HON. SERGIUS OGUN FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFUL ON EID-EL-KABIR, URGES RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE AND PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE

The honourable member representing Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun has felicitated with all Muslims in Agbazilo in particular and the country at large as they celebrate Eid-El-Kabir. He admonished them to imbibe the spirit of love, tolerance, obedience and sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed.

Rt Hon. Ogun stated this in his Sallah message to the Muslim faithfuls, he charged them to continue to live in peace and harmony with people of other religions in order to strengthen the nation's bond of unity.

The Federal Lawmaker enjoined them to continue to pray for the progress and development of the country while observing that the appalling state of the economy, festering corruption and  sprawling insecurity  point vividly to the ugly fact that all is not well. Nevertheless, he called for concerted efforts among citizens to surmount the current challenges bogging the nation down. 

" I felicitate with all Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year's Eid-El-Kabir. I urge you all to live in peace and harmony with all people irrespective of their religion or region of origin. I wish you all happy Sallah celebrations." He added.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
