Edo NAWOJ Congratulates Crusoe Osagie on Reappointment


The Edo State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has congratulated Mr. Crusoe Osagie on his reappointment as the Special Adviser on Media Project to Goverrnor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

This was contained in a congratulatory letter signed by the state chairperson Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and the secretary, Comrade Rosemary Okoduwa respectively.

The letter describes Crusoe Osagie as a rare breed  professional who has affected the lives of many journalists and contribute to the state positively, hence an appointment well deserved.

According to  them, the Special adviser has proven himself worthy of emulation especially in the journalism profession.

They said Crusoe Osagie  has distinguished himself to be a Godsent to the present administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki especially in the area of image making of the government which has enabled him demonstrate decades of experience in the world of journalism that has earned him a mentor to many journalists not only in Edo State but the country at large.

They prayed God Almighty  to grant him more wisdom and strength to continue the good work he has been called to do for the good people of Edo State.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence. In a statement signed by the national president Comrade Ladi Bala, the cases include that of a Local Government Transition Committee chairman of Nnewi North of Anambra State, who is being accused of committing violence against his wife that  led to her untimely death.
