UROMI ROYAL LIONS CLUB CONDUCTS FREE EYE SCREENING FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS OF AGBA GRAMMAR SCHOOL,.... DONATES FREE MEDICATED GLASSES.

The International Association of Lions Clubs, District 404A1 Nigeria through one of it's branches, Uromi Royal Lions Club today being 10th of November, 2021 carried out one of it's core projects which is Eye Care (Eye Screening and Distribution of medicated glasses) to Students and Teachers of Agba Grammar School, Uromi in commemoration of the World Sight Day.
The President of the Club, Lion Barr. Christian Ayemere who addressed the students admonished them to take advantage of the opportunity given to them and always endeavour to take care of their eyes.
The students and staff who were super elated, thanked the President and members of the club and everyone that made the eye project a success for choosing their school for the program and prayed that God reward them greatly.
After the eye screening today, the medical team will take the details of all the students that require eye glasses to the laboratory to prepare their lenses and in a few days they will be given their prescribed glasses.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
