Standup For Women Society Hails Tobi Amusan's Newly Acquired World Fame
Standup for Women Society (SWS) has congratulated Oluwatobi Amusan's newly hard-fought fame in the world of athletics where she made history by becoming Nigeria's first ever gold winner at the World Athletics Championships. Amusan, 25, a student of the University of Texas at El Paso, had an excellent performance at the world tourney representing her fatherland, Nigeria, after she set a record time in the semi-finals of the 100m hurdles event with 12.12 seconds. This broke the 12.20 record of America's Kendra Harrison, who finished behind Amusan at second place. President of Standup for Women Society, Barr. Abosede D.
