Omoyele Sowore who is the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, in his recent interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, on Friday night said that the former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, cannot bring the change Nigerians need.
Peter Obi is not fit for presidency as he has nothing to be tidy to his administration as a governor in his state. 
The Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, a former Anambra governor, is currently having a massive support on social media especially from the youths.
 The supporters of Peter Obi also known as ‘Obidents’, have in some occasions had clashed with some Nigerians on social media 

Sowore in his speech said the former governor is also part of the “old political system” that he has disabled Nigeria.

The African Action Congress, presidential candidate said Peter Obi is not the kind of “change” for Nigeria, claiming that the Labour Party candidate did not execute any project as a governor.

“I don't see Peter Obi as a threat to me. Peter Obi is part of the old system that I have always fought,” he said.

“I know and understand where he is coming from. This is 1999 in play; Nigeria wants change. Some young people who are truly interested in this change are presented with somebody who works for the establishment; someone who has been to almost all the party PDP, APGA, came back to PDP and then LP. He is not new to the corrupted system when he has pent eight years as a governor of a state.

“Lets not be emotional about this, it is that the truth. He did not build any school, industry nor a power station. He is not my kind of progressive.

“Anyone who has served in government for eight years that has nothing to show for it is not the right candidate for Nigeria

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. . The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country.
