Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Uselu Medicial Director Dr. Osama Imafidon incites Media on Sensitisation of the Public on Mental Health

The Medical Director of Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital,   Uselu, Dr. Osama Agbonile Imafidon in an appeal made this  passionate request to the members of Federated Chapel of the National of Journalist, Edo State Council during a courtesy visit  in the hospital boardroom in Benin City.
Members of the Chapel was pleaded with for sensitisation the public on mental health advocacy as a way of ensuring their social responsibility to the people in the state.

The MD frowned at the way some of the media houses bill the institution for mental health advocacy stories but however appluaded Speed FM for their support to the mental health institution.
Dr. Osama also informed the chapel of children's department in the institution.

Speaking also was the former Edo State Commissioner of Communication and Orientation, who doubles as the Public Relations Officer of the hospital -  Mr. Efe Stewart appreciating the chapel members and all those that are part of the struggle and success story of the institution.

The Chairman of Federated Chapel, Comrade Mercy Onyenweli appreciated the Medical Director’s reception while noting the essence of the visit and assured him of a cordial partnership between the institution and the chapel.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
