Johnson Atseleghe Must Not Go Free - Curtis Ugbo

The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) has expressed optimism that they would get good justice over the ongoing alleged kidnap and murder case instituted against one Johnson Atseleghe, the Iyatsere of Warri who was recently granted bail at the Criminal Court 1 Benin City.
In a press briefing in Benin City, the President of the Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) also known as a socio- cultural pressure group, Elder Comrade Curtis Eghosa Ugbo called on his team to fellow the part of peace, adding that granting the suspect, Johnson Atseleghe bail does not stop him from facing the wrath of the law in the cases of conspiracy, kidnapping and murder that is currently before the court.
He averred that he is confidence the family of the victims will get justice, as the court remain the last hope of the common man.
"The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) worldwide is not in contention about the bail granted Johnson Atseleghe, by Criminal Court 1 in Benin over alleged kidnap and murder case, but our concern is to ensuring that the suspect is made to face the full wrath of the law if found guilty the charges brought against him.
"We have total confidence in our judicial system, we also know that there is no way Johnson Atseleghe would manipulate the judicial system because ones you have committed an offence that is punishable by law, such person must be made to face the full weight of the law.
"The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) is registered and fully recognised by the Benin Traditional Council (BTC), Oba of Benin Palace and the Edo State Government. As human activism, we are totally committed to the service of humanity also fighting for freedom of the oppressed in our society particularly Edo people.
"We also want to appeal to Nigeria Judicial Council (NJC) to carry out their responsibility by ensuring speedy trial of cases. We, as a body will not rest in our oars until we get justice in this case. We have also decided to petition the NJC over this murder cases and the need for us to justice. Our stand is that the suspect, Johnson Atseleghe must not be allowed to go free. We are ready to pursue the case to the end until the families of the victims get justice," he said
