RT HON. SERGIUS OGUN CONGRATULATES GOV. OBASEKI ON HIS WELL-DESERVED VICTORY


The honourable member representing the great people of Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, *Rt Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun* has congratulated Gov. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on his well-deserved victory at the just concluded Edo 2020 Governorship Election.

This was contained in a congratutory message which was released today by the Uncommon Lawmaker. He commended  members of PDP in particular and Edolites in general for renewing the mandate of the Wake and See Governor. 

While describing the outcome of the election as a death sentence on godfatherism, the Òluesele Nomioguele of Agbazilo  commended the electoral umpire and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful, free and fair election.

Going further, Rt Hon. Ogun expressed his implicit confidence in the ability and capability of the governor to move Edo state to higher heights of development and greatness. He admonished the other  contestants to accept the verdict of Edo people in good fate and join hands with the governor to make Edo great again.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
