APC Governors’ Visit To Jonathan :- an indication that Nigeria was Better With PDP

In a statement signed by the National publicity secretary  Kola Ologbondiyan , the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asserts that the visit by governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to former President Goodluck Jonathan has further affirmed that Nigeria, as a nation, was better under the governance of the PDP. The visit, which is a clear endorsement of the acceptability of the PDP administration, also indicates that the APC, in 2015,  only created artificial symbols of misgovernance, corruption and other alleged misgivings just to discredit PDP and grab the levers of power to achieve their selfish desires. It is evident that the Jonathan administration succeeded in office basically because the party understands the nuances of the nation, which was translated into people-oriented policies and programmes, in line with the manifesto of  the PDP, to make life comfortable for Nigerians. " Over the years have we been able to fulfil our mandate as a professional group, vis-a-vis give voice to the voiceless women of Nigeria. In a small part of the Northeast and some parts of the South South, IDP camps sprawl over the places, mostly occupied by over 80 percent women and children; women are raped there on daily  basis, and many children  are trafficked from there and also sexually exploited. Has NAWOJ ever risen to the occasion to address their challenges, make government look indepth at the plight of these vulnerable people? We need to   nurture, give mentorship to upcoming women journalists to increase the reportage of these key areas of our development.  We need more women in Journalism as we need women gynaecologists. Women are dying on daily basis as a result of cancer. Accolades as Timi Jombo Idoko is Appointed into the NFF Women Football Committee

It was garlands across the nation as friends and well wishers of Timi Jombo Idoko, journalist and outgoing Zonal Vice President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, South-South Zone celebrated with her through phone calls and messages as she was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, as member of the NFF Women Football Committee 2020.    The first set of females that started female football in Nigeria  as a secondary school girl in 1989,  Mrs Idoko's enthusiasm for sporting activities, particularly the round leather game, had found her playing for teams in Lagos state, including the  Airforce team , Legico, Victoria Island, the Island Football Club, the Marroco Club, Victoria lsland, among several others.  She told journalists that it was due to lack of encouragement then that she did not continue,  but her interest in sports endeared her to many sports enthusiasts and she grew to become a sports administ...
