THE REASSURING WORDS OF ENGR. PROF. S. O. ONOHAEBI, FNSE, FNIPE, THE RECTOR OF NICTM, UROMI AS THE INSTITUTION HOLDS HER 5TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Rector matriculates the 5th batch of National Diploma students on 19th day of February 2021 at the Institute's temporary site. A record of 134 students were initiated into the academic life of the Institute.
The Rector urged the matriculating students to follow the path of moral righteousness, academic excellence and eschew every form of anti-social practice and behaviour that is detrimental to the pursuit of their academic satisfaction and fulfilment.
The Rector also reiterated the commitment of the management to ensuring that staff members are properly trained to meet the demands of modern challenges. According to him, six staff of the institution are currently undergoing training both within and outside the country. He encouraged staff to be research-oriented and driven so as to tap into the underutilized funds available for research-based activities in the Institute and to be more committed and dedicated to their duties in order to move the Institute to greater heights.
He informed the assembly of the support the Institute got from various organisations to carry out infrastructural development.
The Rector did not fail to make a categorical statement about the well-intentioned movement of the Institute to the permanent site before the end of 2021, by the special grace of God.
The Rector remained thankful to President Goodluck Jonathan, President Muhammadu Buhari, members of the National Assembly, HRM, Anslem Eidenojie II, the Onojie of Uromi, late Chief Tony Anenih and all the supporters and friends of NICTM.
Engr. Prof. S. O. Onohaebi has by all intents and purposes set the Institute on a path that is engendering and engineering Institutional growth and staff development.
