Easter, ; A period for sober reflection, Sergius



 The Hon member representing Esan north East/south East,at the national Assembly, Rt Hon. ( Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun has described the Easter celebration as a period that calls for sober reflection among Christians .

 Hon Sergius made this statement in his Easter message to his constituents and other Faithfuls across the globe.

"On this special occasion of Easter 2021, I rejoice and felicitates with Christian faithfuls in Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency of Edo State   and the world at large on the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ over death. 
"This period of Easter flood one with conscious moments for solemn reflection of the redemptive sacrifice made by the Messiah for the redemption of mankind from sin and eternal damnation."

"As we commemorates and celebrate the death and resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ, I enjoin us to be Christ-like in our actions/deeds and live in peace with all men
. Let's eschew every form of bitterness, envy, strife, violence, covetousness, avarice and other ungodly traits even as we work and walk together to make the world a better place".

"The victory of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ over death confirms the infallibility and indomitability of the divine power of God. Thus, in whatever ephemeral situation or circumstances we may found ourselves today, we should be consoled by the irreducible truth that God is able to see us through".

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
