Sergius Ogun shares rice to widows at Easter

In continuation of his  philanthropic gestures of  providing succumb to the vulnerable ones in his constituency,  the Member  representing Esan North-East and Esan South-East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius  Ogun  shared  rice to over 800 widows from Ugboha , his country home during the Easter period.

The gesture by the Hon Sergius is  considered to be a way of identifying and marking this year's Easter celebration with the needy.

 The noble gesture is a  yearly tradition by the Honourable member.


The  federal lawmaker who was on ground to ensure that every widow got her fair share of the largesse, reiterated his unflinching commitment to engendering gender equality and empowering women to live their dream.  

He recalled how he had used his personal resources to facilitate several skill acquisition programmes and  empowerment schemes for women in the constituency in the last six years. 

While commending the  parliamentarian for the kind gesture, the widows prayed God to continue to bless him and his family and catapult him to the next level of his political career. 

" Hon. Ogun has remains the only person that gives us rice in Ugboha every Easter and Christmas. May God bless him mightily" said one of the beneficiaries.
