Democracy Day:- Imhandegbelo felicitates with Gov. Godwin Obasaki...... urges Edo people to work in harmony with the Governor.












One of the leading aspirant in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election, Hon. Louis Imhandegbelo has felicitated with His, Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu as the country  marked June 12 Democracy Day and urged Edo people to work in harmony with the governor to enable him fulfill his promises to Edo people 

While felicitating with the Governor, Hon. Imhandegbelo, in a statement, urged Esan South-East local government people to rededicate themselves to salvaging the local government and positioning it for greatness.
“We are currently faced with numerous challenges, it takes commitment, dedication, sacrifice and noble intentions to get through the rough pitches that we are experiencing, but with God on our side, we will overcome.

“The people and the government hold the key to the solution of our problems and we must work together to make our local government and Edo State great again,” he added.

Going further, Hon. Imhandegbelo appealed to residence of Esan South-East  to work in harmony with His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki led administration to bring the dividends of democracy to the doorstep of its citizen.

"Governor Obaseki have a ready example in Edo State, which today is a beacon of hope for democracy. It is the doggedness to rescue the state from the doldrums exhibited by Edo people during the last election that we need so as to keep faith in the state alive. It takes eternal vigilance to keep our state one and prosperous.
“As we mark this year's Democracy Day on June 12, I urge all the citizens of Esan South-East local government to rededicate themselves to salvaging our local government and positioning it for greatness, with the same vigour and commitment displayed by Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu. It is only then that Edo State will be great again" he opined.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
