SERGIUS OGUN SALUTES GOV. OBASEKI AT 64


The federal lawmaker representing Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. ( Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun has felicitated with the executive governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on the joyous occasion of his 64th birthday.

In a goodwill message to the Wake and See Governor, Rt Hon. Ogun applauded Obaseki for the efforts he is making to make Edo truly great again in line with the developmental blueprints enshrined in the MEGA agenda. The lawmaker also commended him for instituting far-reaching reforms in the state civil service,  injecting new blood into the public service, engendering institutional reforms,  reworking governance architecture, putting together a long term development master plan for the heartbeat state and setting up new structural standards for democratic excellence!

" You have been doing your very best to provide good governance and meet the basic expectations of  Edo People. I appreciate and celebrate the modest successes you have recorded in all sectors so far. "

"I join your family, friends, well wishers and the good people of Edo State to wish you many  more years of good health, glory and honour. Happy birthday your excellency!" the statement added.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
