Edo NAWOJ Congratulates Crusoe Osagie on Reappointment

The Edo State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has congratulated Mr. Crusoe Osagie on his reappointment as the Special Adviser on Media Project to Goverrnor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State. This was contained in a congratulatory letter signed by the state chairperson Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and the secretary, Comrade Rosemary Okoduwa respectively. The letter describes Crusoe Osagie as a rare breed  professional who has affected the lives of many journalists and contribute to the state positively, hence an appointment well deserved. EDO NAWOJ Advocates more attention on girl child education.

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Edo State Chapter has demanded that  the education of the Girl child be accorded a priority.        This is contained in a statement signed by the chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and secretary, Comrade Rosemary Okoduwa in celebration of this year's International Day of the Girl Child with the theme "Digital Generation our Generation " called on stakeholders to pay attention to the  digital rights of the girl child by making digital world accessable and safe for her  while maximizing its benefits.      Edo NAWOJ pointed out that digital literacy can not be achieved by individuals and organisations alone rather, there's need for a tripartite relationship where  government would play a major role. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State chapter, heartily  congratulate Chief Chris Isiguzo on his re-election and subsequent inauguration for a second term as the President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and to all members of his EXCO. In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and secretary, Rosemary Okoduwa, the first tenure of Chief Comrade Chris Isiguzo was said to have an excellent track record of performance and that they were optimistic that he  will consolidate on his achievements in the second tenure. They prayed  God to always grant the President wisdom to pilot the affairs of the union to a greater heights, the statement added.

Junior Chambers International honours Festus Alenkhe

Junior Chambers International(JCI) Edo Bronze has bestowed the award of Personality of the Month of September on Comrade Festus Alenkhe, who is aspiring to lead the Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) from December. Making a speech at the grand event which was held at House 39, a celebrity hangout situated at 39 Imuentinyan Street, GRA, Benin City, Eson Blessing, the President of the group said that the choice of the hardworking crime reporter is as a result of his chain of achievements in his endeavours which included his credible leadership of the various groups he has been a member which also include the Red Cross Society and the Nigerian Youth Council among many others.
