The Edo State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has congratulated Mr. Crusoe Osagie on his reappointment as the Special Adviser on Media Project to Goverrnor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Edo State Chapter has demanded that  the education of the Girl child be accorded a priority.        This is contained in a statement signed by the chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and secretary, Comrade Rosemary Okoduwa in celebration of this year's International Day of the Girl Child with the theme "Digital Generation our Generation " called on stakeholders to pay attention to the  digital rights of the girl child by making digital world accessable and safe for her  while maximizing its benefits.      Edo NAWOJ pointed out that digital literacy can not be achieved by individuals and organisations alone rather, there's need for a tripartite relationship where  government would play a major role. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State chapter, heartily  congratulate Chief Chris Isiguzo on his re-election and subsequent inauguration for a second term as the President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and to all members of his EXCO. In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and secretary, Rosemary Okoduwa, the first tenure of Chief Comrade Chris Isiguzo was said to have an excellent track record of performance and that they were optimistic that he  will consolidate on his achievements in the second tenure. Junior Chambers International(JCI) Edo Bronze has bestowed the award of Personality of the Month of September on Comrade Festus Alenkhe, who is aspiring to lead the Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) from December.
