The Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun (ksc) has said that the  House will establish sustainable Regional and Town Planning Laws to mitigate the effects of climate change, tackle environmental and health hazards in the state.    The honourable speaker hinted this when the National President of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Mr Olutoyin Ayinde, along side the Chairman Edo state chapter, Dr. Hope Iyawe and other Fellows of the state excos,paid him a courtesy call  at the old Legislative Chamber in Benin city. Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc has described the death of the NLC Edo State chairman, Comrade Sunny Osayande as painful and a rude shock. Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc said the chairman was a great unionist who was dedicated to the struggle for the emancipation of workers in the state.  The speaker, said Comrade Sunny Osayande's death came at a time when he was needed most in the struggle.  Rt Hon Onobun ksc condoled with the union in the State, Calling on all unionists  in the state to close ranks in this trying period . While also commiserating with the family and wife of the departed labour leader, the speaker prayed for God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss .

The Speaker Edo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Marcus Onobun (ksc) has taken delivery  of Seven high capacity, Cooper coil  Electricity Transformers to light up  Communities in Esan west constituency. The seven Transformers  provided by the Hon Speaker are to be distributed to several communities in the constituency . In an earlier distribution of Transformers some communities including Iruekpen and  ojo street in ihumudumu  benefitted . As part of his campaign promises , RT Hon Marcus Onobun ( ksc) said he would ensure he attracts several social amenities including good road , portable water and electricity to the constituency to ensure the constituency is not left out in the development agenda of Governor Godwin Obaseki. The seven newly acquired high capacity, Cooper coil Transformers will be distributed to some other communities who did  not benefit in last year's distribution .

Sergius Oseasochie Ogun Foundation (SOOF) has extended the glad tidings and joy of Christmas to the inmates at the Ubiaja Correctional Centre in Ubiaja Town, Esan South-East Local Government Area, Edo State.  While addressing them, the visitation team conveyed to the inmates the merry wishes of the founder of the foundation and member of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun. For Sergius Oseasochie Ogun Foundation, the joy of Christmas celebration is not complete if the inmates do not share in it.
