SERGIUS OSEASOCHIE OGUN FOUNDATION VISITS UBIAJA CORRECTIONAL CENTRE, FETES INMATES.




Sergius Oseasochie Ogun Foundation (SOOF) has extended the glad tidings and joy of Christmas to the inmates at the Ubiaja Correctional Centre in Ubiaja Town, Esan South-East Local Government Area, Edo State.  While addressing them, the visitation team conveyed to the inmates the merry wishes of the founder of the foundation and member of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun.

For Sergius Oseasochie Ogun Foundation, the joy of Christmas celebration is not complete if the inmates do not share in it. This evidently explains why the foundation visits the federal custodial facility every year to celebrate Christmas with the inmates. Aside the annual charity visit at Christmas, the foundation has, in the last seven years, supported the correctional centre in many ways amongst which the following specifics stand out: 

 In 2014, Sergius Oseasochie Ogun Foundation constructed a borehole at the premises of the correctional centre and donated a generator to power it

 In 2015, the foundation donated a free computer set and accessories to the management of the custodial centre

 Annually, the foundation provides legal aid services to inmates, when and where applicable, and when and where necessary.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
