Odianonsen Odine, picks PDP EDHA form, promises effective representation



The latest among the aspirants to collect his nomination form, is Mr Odine Odianonsen, a staunch PDP member in Esan North East of Edo Central senatorial district. 

By this singular gesture, Mr Odine have proven to sceptics that he intends to put in a robust and stiff challenge prelude to the election proper to determine who represents Esan North East Constituency 2 at the Edo State House of Assembly. 

Accompanied by a retinue of supporters and party loyalists, Mr Odine stormed the Benin secretariat of the party to purchase his nomination form ahead the PDP primaries scheduled for May.  

Odine, an alumni of both  Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and later the University of Benin, where he capped his academic pursuit with Masters in Public Administration, before his foray into politics, have promised to amplify  the voice of his constituents and to provide good representation. 

He is also the founder of Odianonsen Odine Foundation, an NGO established by him to unearth and nurture sporting talents in his immediate local government area. 

The NGO, via a series of deeply conceptualised  sporting activities aimed at promoting peace and unity among the various local youth organisations  as well as to identify, unleash and nurture spotted sporting talents to global standards, has earned him immense popularity among the locals. 

Similarly, the NGO is on record as having formed a workable partnership  with other existing youth groups in the senatorial district to develop and enhance skills. 

Such skills development initiatives have focused essentially on creative thinking, quizzes, team bonding as well as medical and social outreaches to assist the needy, right within their immediate communities. 

Drawing heavily from the experiences garnered in the course of his close interactions with his constituents , an optmistic Odine,  anchored his campaign theme on the twin issue of poverty eradication and the provision of basic amenities by sponsoring bills that will better his constituency and working closely with the Executive Arm of Govt . Odine has been called by his people to be their voice and  to take them to greater heights.

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
