Edo Assembly Speaker sends words of encouragement to Muslim Umah as Ramadan commences

Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc has urged Muslim Umah to remember the Nation in their prayers, as they commence the holy month of Ramadan .

Rt.Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc who is also the Member Elect for Esan West, Esan central and Igueben Constituency at the House of Representatives called for prayers for security, growth and development of okpebholo constituency in particular, Edo State and Nigeria in general.

Rt.Hon. Marcus Onobun in his words " This is a time for renewed hope in the country as the country just concluded general elections in which alot of issues were raised but in all we need to pray for unity, growth and progress of all"

" I urge all Muslim Umah to in this month of fasting and prayers to become more charitable towards all irrespective of religion, class or Creed"

" I pray that this holy month of Ramadan bring spiritual  renewal, increased devotion, love towards all and may all your Duas be granted".

Edo 2024: Crisis Brew in Edo APC Over Oshiomhole's Endoresement of Preferred Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State may be heading into the September 21, 2024 Governorship election as a divided party, if the romours of imposition of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as his preferred candidate is true. NAWOJ Demand justice for her member assaulted by Ex_husband

. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has noted with concern, the alarming spikes in the cases of physical and domestic violence against women by their spouses. The ugly development is becoming worrisome, reprehensible, dastardly thus, totally unacceptable . It is particularly worrisome to note that in the month of August 2022 alone, there were three documented cases of wife battery that inflicted serious physical injuries, mental torture, dehumanised sanctity and dignity of victims by their husbands in the country. One of the sad cases, is confirmed dead from the alleged  unfortunate violence.
