APC Governors’ Visit To Jonathan :- an indication that Nigeria was Better With PDP

Image
In a statement signed by the National publicity secretary  Kola Ologbondiyan , the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asserts that the visit by governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to former President Goodluck Jonathan has further affirmed that Nigeria, as a nation, was better under the governance of the PDP. The visit, which is a clear endorsement of the acceptability of the PDP administration, also indicates that the APC, in 2015,  only created artificial symbols of misgovernance, corruption and other alleged misgivings just to discredit PDP and grab the levers of power to achieve their selfish desires. It is evident that the Jonathan administration succeeded in office basically because the party understands the nuances of the nation, which was translated into people-oriented policies and programmes, in line with the manifesto of  the PDP, to make life comfortable for Nigerians. This visit to Jonathan by the APC governors is a...

" Over the years have we been able to fulfil our mandate as a professional group, vis-a-vis give voice to the voiceless women of Nigeria. In a small part of the Northeast and some parts of the South South, IDP camps sprawl over the places, mostly occupied by over 80 percent women and children; women are raped there on daily  basis, and many children  are trafficked from there and also sexually exploited. Has NAWOJ ever risen to the occasion to address their challenges, make government look indepth at the plight of these vulnerable people? We need to   nurture, give mentorship to upcoming women journalists to increase the reportage of these key areas of our development.  We need more women in Journalism as we need women gynaecologists. Women are dying on daily basis as a result of cancer. We should give voice to the voiceless and set agenda for others to follow,"- Aisha Ibrahim, Presidential candidate,  addressing women journalists in Benin today...

In a statement signed.by the publicity secretary Mr Chris Nehikhare, the party leaders were bewildered to hear that the moribund EPM faction of the APC allegedly unleashed its thugs on Edo youths, intimidating, brutalizing and wounding many in the Kings Square area of Benin City as revenge for their rejection during the gubernatorial polls that took place on September 19, 2020.  He added that their behavior is even more vexatious especially when it is juxtaposed against the reason for the protest.
